The workshop by PJ provides a good platform and opportunity for us to understand one another, to see how we can better work together through facilitated and intentional conversations that we wouldn't have done so internally. He was emphatic and guided us to think about how the team could achieve success together.
Xi Hui, Senior Lead, Singapore Global Network
Having a third-party guide and clarify team processes is helpful for gaining insights on better ways of working within a team, by highlighting blind spots and spurring uncomfortable but crucial conversations.
Wong Keng Hui, Head, Singapore Global Network
I think Team Catalysis is helpful for new teams to kickstart a great team forming.
Julie, senior lead in Strategy and User Design, Singapore Global Network
A day well spent, team building, vision-building, identifying our blind spots and producing many ideas how to improve our operations.
Prof Cesar Jung-Harada, SIT
PJ’s session was timely for our team to normalize internal expectations on our culture & processes heading into the New Year. His frameworks, tools & stories were light and relevant. I also appreciated how he leaned in to help synthesise the team’s inputs & discourse throughout the session.

Learn the fundamental principles & techniques in Human-Centered Design by working on a real project together: interview people, synthesize insights, generate "crazy" ideas, and make prototypes to test your ideas!
For Who?
Singapore-based working professionals interested in hands-on learning of design-thinking.
What is this?
A hands-on 4 x 1/2 days course on applying design-thinking fundamentals, where participants will learn by doing. This course is modelled on an in-house EDB training curriculum made from open-source material, covering the “double diamond” design process. Each half-day training is highly-interactive: there is a short initial download of theory, followed by a hands-on application.
Every afternoon, there is also a 1hr free consultation, which teams can use to consult on applying their learnings to their specific context.
PJ is very knowledgeable in the field of design thinking. His insight, feedback and thought provoking comments have helped us to improve on our project work. His constant reminders on focusing on the user's needs & experiences have been useful in our work as well. The workshop was very hands on and applicable. It was a new and insightful experience. :)
Participant, Applied Design Thinking Fundamentals
The Design Thinking Workshop was really helpful in moving us from our stuck positions and ideas for our team. The hands-on activities and real-world applications helped us innovate and see problems from new perspectives. It also challenge us to step out of our comfort zones. PJ created a collaborative, safe environment, and the discussions were enriched by application to our project and coaching. This workshop equipped us with practical tools and skills to tackle our projects with creativity and renewed energy. Highly recommended!
Jesseln Goh, Clinical Psychologist, Community Psychology Hub
When PJ said he is offering a workshop on applied design thinking (a.k.a toolkit for dealing with unknown unknowns), I immediately raised my hand. It was four mornings of brain-frying fun.During the workshop, one of the key reminders PJ mentioned is the iceberg model. Typically, the events we observe are what happened on the surface level, and we have to keep questioning and questioning till we get to the beliefs/ values level. Asking the right questions is an art — no leading questions, no over-explanation, no looking at any prompt (so that we can keep eye contact with the interviewee).I find this workshop particularly useful for anyone who is in corporate planning, organisational transformation, or any function that requires one to toggle between big picture thinking and actionable projects.

Design Thinking 201: Why Some People Are Your Customers?
What is this?
Understanding your customers is crucial for success in any business.
And design thinking teaches you how to understand your customers.
This 1-day in-person (in SINGAPORE), intermediate, hands-on workshop will dive into techniques which enable you to understand your customers (and non-customers).
The first half of the day focuses on these techniques, applied to a project brief for the whole workshop.
The second half, you will take what you learned and apply your learnings towards a work-project. You will finish the day with a research protocol draft for your work-project.
For Who?
- You need to understand customers and their needs, but you've no idea how to do so: you're an entrepreneur, start-up founder, business development executive, marketer, or you're just generally curious about people.
- You have attended design thinking workshops and training before, and have a rough understanding of design thinking theory. Double Diamond, 5 Steps, you've read them all from HBR. But you've not really been able to put design thinking into practice.
- You struggle with putting design thinking into practice, especially empathy.
- You struggle with the Empathy part of design thinking: you can't help switching into "pitch" mode.
I participated in the "Design Thinking 201" workshop by instructor Peijing recently. The content was comprehensive, instructor was knowledgeable, and we were able to work on research plan for our own problem statement during the workshop.
Highly recommend!
Ying Ting, Assistant Manager, ACRA
It was an interesting and useful course. As I already have some idea of design thinking, this course gave me a chance to get more hands on practice and feedback. I also learnt some new frameworks which I will be able to take back with me to apply to problems at work.
